Abstract:
In this paper, we analyzed the situation of micro and small hotels in Cuernavaca, Jiutepec and Tepoztlan (municipalities with the highest tourist activity in the state of Morelos), in the period October - December 2020, as a result of the pandemic. Derived from this, the government took certain measures to reduce COVID infections; some of these were the closure of businesses with non-essential activities. This led to a decrease in visitors, and therefore, a decrease in the operation of the tourism sector in our state. Using the Business Model Canvas, the nine essential aspects of this business sector, were analyzed. This allowed the detection of opportunities and threats faced by micro and small hotels in the main municipalities of the state. The foregoing will contribute to the generation of strategies that help companies take advantage of the opportunities offered by the market, as well as combat the threats that arise.
