Strategies for Improving Middle School Students’ Oral English Ability in Flipped Classroom Mode

Abstract: One of the purposes of English learning is oral communication, but oral English teaching has not received much attention in middle school English teaching. With the development of information technology and network platforms, great changes have taken place in modern teaching concepts and teaching modes. As a new teaching mode, flipped classroom teaching emphasizes the autonomy of language learning and gives focus to the student’s position in the learning process. This paper first analyzes the current situation of oral English teaching in middle school, then examines the feasibility of the implementation of a flipped classroom mode in middle school oral English teaching, and finally explores strategies for improving the oral English ability of middle school students in the flipped classroom model.
