Abstract:
The need to overcome complex and costly challenges leads organizations to act intentionally in environments with multiple relationships, such as innovation ecosystems. The development of sustainable solutions is an example of this. Therefore, this article aims to conduct a critical literature review on the central theme- Value Creation and Capture in Sustainability-Oriented Innovation Ecosystems. In doing so, a set of theoretical propositions was formulated that articulate Relational View (RV) Theory with the process of value creation and capture in sustainability-oriented innovation ecosystems, so that they can be used in future empirical studies. By reflecting on this topic and presenting these propositions, the essay contributes to the expansion of RV by bringing this theory closer to the context of complex relationships, such as those in innovation ecosystems. Furthermore, it sheds light on dimensions of value that have not received much attention in recent studies, thus paving a prosperous path for future research.
