Moving Set Size Ranked Set Sampling

International Journal of Statistics and Probability, 2025, vol. 13, issue 4, 64

Abstract: A new variation of ranked set sampling technique, entitled "Moving set size ranked set sampling", (MSSRSS), is suggested. The suggested variation allows for the increase of the number of units that can be chosen by judgement. The suitability of this modified technique for the estimation of parameters of the underlying distribution of interest is investigated. In addition, the estimation of the cumulative distribution function using this variation is considered. The results indicate that this modified technique can be useful in practice.
