Stability Analysis Through the Direct Method of Lyapunov in the Oscillation of a Synchronous Machine

Abstract: This paper deals with the determination of the stability of a synchronous generator connected to an infinite bus when one of its parameters is varied. The direct method of Lyapunov is proposed for the construction of a scalar function that allows to characterize the stability of said system, this method is chosen since it has several practical advantages.
