Abstract:
Voltage sag indices are used to quantify the performance of the power supply during individual events for individual sites and the whole system. In this paper, a questionnaire is designed for survey and data is collected from the different industries. For calculating financial losses due to sag events, a probabilistic method is used. The aim of this survey is to find out the answer of some questions like an effect of voltage sag on Indian industries i.e., which type of industries suffers most. In this paper also losses due to voltage sag are compared with the cost of different mitigation devices.
