Abstract:
This paper is based on the quantitative description of practices employed to satisfy non-functional requirements in web-based applications developed in Pakistan. Non-functional requirements are one of the most important parts of software projects and these requirements are often difficult to attain with a demanding quality. This paper contains the result of a survey, conducted in 15 software houses in Pakistan, to know how these requirements are implemented and verified. The study is helpful to understand the gap analysis and to devise a framework for improving these practices.
