Critical success factors framework for implementing and adapting BIS on organisational performance

Abstract: Business intelligence systems (BIS) have an important role in an organisation development and have received a considerable attention from researchers and practitioners. Few studies have empirically evaluated the effect of critical success factors (CSF) on successful implementation of BIS, and some empirically evaluated these impacts on organisational performance. The main objective of this research is to propose a CSFs framework by categorising CSFs into four categories and studying their effects on organisational performance. A case study from Egypt was used to identify the possible existing gaps in the implementation of BIS and suggested the possible ways to enhance organisational performance. The results show that the CSFs are crucial for successful implementation of BIS and have positive significant effect on an organisation's performance.
