International Journal of Intelligent Enterprise, 2026, vol. 13, issue 3/4, 427-459

Abstract: Supply chain digitalisation is a need of today's interconnected enterprises. Trust in these technologies is still being explored less. This study uncovers enablers of digital trust for supply chain digitalisation through an in-depth analysis in the context of the emerging economy. The study identifies the enablers from the literature and further checks for their significance with 171 responses from the Indian manufacturing sector. The exploratory factor analysis identifies the dimensions of the enablers. The enablers and dimensions were further analysed through a case study using a multi-criteria approach. The study revealed that regulatory compliance by the organisations and the stakeholders is crucial for establishing digital trust in a digitalised supply chain, along with the effects of governance, data management, trust management, and stakeholders' understanding of technology. The implications are aligned with the digital trust goals defined by the World Economic Forum to offer meaningful insights to practitioners and researchers.
