Abstract:
The primary objective of this study is to examine the mediating role of occupational self-efficacy (OSE) and the moderating role of transformational leadership (TL) in the relationship between knowledge-sharing behaviour (KSB) and innovative work behaviour (IWB) among information technology (IT) Professionals in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad cities of India. The longitudinal study was conducted at three-time intervals. The final sample size was 382. The conceptual model of the research was evaluated through a structural equation modelling (SEM) approach. The results of the SEM analysis indicate that the KSB has a significant direct positive effect on IWB (B = 0.139, β = 0.146, t = 3.168**) and OSE (B = 0.234, β = 0.258, t = 4.825**). Similarly, OSE also demonstrated an important direct positive effect on IWB (B = 0.476, β = 0.455, t = 9.096**). Furthermore, OSE confirms the partial mediation of the relationship between KSB and IWB. The study's outcome also indicates that TL strengthens the relationship between KSB and IWB.
