Abstract:
Distribution of electricity, as influential interface between electricity generators and consumers, has been facing difficulties such as fluctuations in demand and consumer satisfaction. In this context, application and optimisation of resilience capability in electricity distribution networks (EDNs) can play key roles in meeting the challenges and achieving competitive advantages. Accordingly, this paper aimed to address issues pertaining to identify technical and managerial components of resilience in the EDNs and to model relationships among them. Resilience elements and main factors were identified through extensive literature review and inquire about experts viewpoints in this sector. Also, second order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was applied to model and evaluate how they relate to each other and total resilience capability. Obtained results offer a coherent view of the subject that contribute to provide more in-depth insights into the role of each element and main factor for developing the management system resilience in the EDNs.
