Abstract:
This paper looks at science and technology parks from the angle of low-tech environments and from a managerial perspective. The authors evaluated three Greek establishments and identified a number of serious problems in their operation. The effect of the specific political, economic, social and technological conditions of the low-tech environment on the parks' performance was then explored. Based on the case studies, the authors developed a resource-based strategic mapping framework offered to park managers, who are searching for a clear strategic direction.
