Abstract:
The article presents the development of the ferrous scraps market in 2010 and prospects for 2011. The ferrous scrap and pig iron markets known a significant prices growth in 2008, reaching record levels, that were considered excessive and unsustainable but, which underwent a stabilization in August 2008. The media for 2009 was with 30-49% lower than in 2008, this meaning a return to normality, stat which continued in 2010. The prospects for 2011 are uncertain.
