Conjunctura economiei mondiale / World Economic Studies, 2014

Abstract: The article examines the economic developments in 2013 and the outlook for 2014-2015. The economic recovery that began in the second half of 2013 is expected to to strengthen in 2014-2015, given that the productive investments are the main driver of GDP growth. The results of Poland after 10 years of joining the European Union are presented. The achievements are analyzed based on a Report on the effects of Poland's accession to the EU by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, which stresses that "EU’s member states statute constitutes in itself a chance, not a guarantee for development. A country's ability to use most of this chance depends on how it applies its own economic policy. "
