THE STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF EU REGULATION ON ENERGY GOVERNANCE

Abstract:
Energy integration is an ambitious objective of EU, currently evolving toward Energy Union project, which in order to be completed needs a performant governance in order to achieve the highly ambitious goals related to energy and environmental protection fields.These goals were assuumed by the 2030 Climate and Energy Framework and by other international agreements signed by the EU. The Regulation on the governance of the energy union aims to support the fulfillment of EU strategy in the field and of national energy programs and plans, also reinforcing the 5 essential components of the energy union.
