Euroinfo, 2017, vol. 1, issue 9, 15-21

Abstract: Antitrust regulations are an essential tool in preserving a free and competitive environment in the EU economy. Through the adoption of EU Regulation 1/2003 a cornerstone of the reform of EU antitrust enforcement was achieved bringing progress for the final goal of this process – strengthening the position, resources and tools of National Competition Authorities (NCAs) in applying Articles 101 and 102 of TFEU. Taking into consideration those realities, our research proposes a broad analysis of the main achievements of EU antitrust enforcement in the last ten years based on the main studies provided by the European Commission and backed up also by DG Competition statistics in the field.
