Abstract:
Analyzing the link between air pollution and community sports is crucial for fostering a balanced relationship among residents, communities, and sports environments. In Zhengzhou, considering the layout of sports facilities and the atmospheric conditions, this study establishes a structural model focusing on healthy sports. Results indicate that heightened air pollution diminishes the utilization of open-air stadiums significantly; with AQI surpassing 300ug/m3, there's a >90% drop in hourly traffic to these facilities. Even under slightly polluted conditions (>150ug/m3), sports environments may fail to meet residents' daily activity demands. Over 50% of respondents perceive health risks due to air pollution, prompting increased investment in community sports areas. Moreover, when AQI exceeds light pollution levels (>150ug/m3), residents' overall sense of sports fulfillment declines, with dissatisfaction rates rising from 44% to 57% compared to better air quality scenarios.
