Abstract: Agile manifesto has proven its ability in managing and execution of projects in multiple industry sectors. Many researches have been conducted on the advantages and applicability of agile practices in software development and information technology industry. In this paper, empirical research has been conducted to identify the differences in agile management practices between software development and software as a service (SaaS) deployment projects. Case studies of a payment card industry (PCI) organization have been presented to identify key characteristics, tools, and methods of agile project management practices practically followed while implementing and managing of SaaS-based projects. Moreover, best suited agile management practices for pre- and post-deployment projects have also been discussed.
