Abstract:
A Group Decision Support System (GDSS) process named FACILITATOR was used in one phase of a 4 month regional economic development and planning effort. Leaders from 15 key organizations met in groups to articulate economic development goals and action strategies. Questionnaire results indicated that the GDSS portion of the activity was favorably viewed by these planners. Suggestions for GDSS development, testing, and application were drawn from observation and participant comments
