Abstract: In this paper, we develop acceptance sampling plan when the lifetime experiment is truncated at a pre-assigned time. The minimum sample size required to ensure a specified median life of the experimental unit is provided when the lifetimes of the units follow Fréchet distribution. The operating characteristic values of the sampling plans as well as the producer’s risk are also presented. Examples are provided for illustrative purposes
