Industrialisation Strategy of Gujarat: Performance and an Agenda for Future

Abstract: This paper outlines the salient features of the industrialisation strategy that Gujarat appears to have followed since its inception. The results which this strategy has produced are also discussed. The paper goes on to suggest changes required to be made in the strategy to maintain Gujarat’s position as one of the leading industrial states in India in view of the changing business environment in the country.
