Abstract:
Working paper, prepared within the framework of the WEP, comprising a literature survey of research conducted on rural migration and urbanization in 38 developing countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America from 1950 to 1970 - examines the quantitative aspects of rural migration to show the wide variation among continents and countries, etc., and includes further details of the migration phenomenon for 19 of the countries. References and statistical tables.
