Working paper, emanating from the WEP, on the economic analysis of fertility in Brazil - examines the data provided by the 1970 national household sample survey and earlier census data, and measures the significance of such factors as type and duration of marriage, income, educational level, residence in a rural area, age of married women at marriage, etc. References and statistical tables.
