Abstract: Working paper, emanating from the WEP, on small scale industry and handicrafts in the Dakar urban area in Senegal - describes the activities and employment of the skilled worker in the informal sector based on a survey of over 300 establishments, and includes incomes, working conditions, marketing, employment policy issues, etc. Maps, references and statistical tables.
