Socio-economic framework for basic needs planning: Brazil case study

Abstract: Working paper adapting an input output analysis economic model to basic needs development planning factors in Brazil - describes different models, considers income distribution, nutrition, labour productivity, demographic aspects and economic implications, includes experimental scenarios in respect of government policies, (educational policy, fiscal policy), etc., and concludes that self reliance and basic needs satisfaction with slower economic growth would advantage the poverty stricken.
