Abstract: Working paper comprising an economic model to test development policy alternatives for population, employment, economic growth, income distribution and basic needs in Colombia to the year 2000 - provides a theoretical and empirical simulation framework to evaluate medium term and long term economic policy and social policy for poverty alleviation focusing on fiscal policy, choice of technology, productivity, and level of nutrition, health, education and housing, etc. Bibliography and statistical tables.
