Abstract:
Working paper on comparison of evaluation techniques for rural area road planning in developing countries - discusses evolution of road network and the selection criteria used and proposed for the formulation of rural road construction and improvement programmes (incl. Highway sufficiency ratings, road user cost benefit analysis and social change considerations), notices that income distribution effects were not explicitly identified in criteria formulation, and includes suggestions for improvement.
