Factory employment, marriage and fertility: the case of mauritian women

Abstract: Working paper examining the relationship between factory employment and fertility of working mothers (industrial workers) in Mauritius - discusses labour force participation trends and obstacles, based on a sample survey of 1980, shows that employment is associated with later marriage, lower fertility and family size (family planning), outlines methodology, and includes the questionnaire used.
