Working paper on the interrelationship between employment of women workers and fertility in Hungary. Discusses occupational structure, trends (1949-1980), wage structure, factors affecting fertility (incl. standard of living, occupational status, educational level, urbanization, infant and child mortality, family and maternity benefits), and the impact of labour force participation on marital status, family and time budget.
