Working paper on labour contract issues in rural area labour markets, comprising a case study of Kenya - discusses the theoretical background relating to resource allocation among the rural population, changes in rural factor markets including land ownership and agricultural employment since 1963, current processes of labour exchange and implicatons for efficiency, poverty and income distribution.
