Abstract: Working paper on energy economics and the macroeconomic implications of increased petroleum price trends in Colombia from 1973-1982 - examines the impact of higher oil prices on the balance of trade, balance of payments, economic growth, the labour market, inflation and income distribution; analyzes power consumption in major industrial sectors, the energy price index and energy policy options.
