Abstract:
Working paper on decision making in multinational enterprise subsidiaries (foreign enterprises) in Japan - shows direct foreign investment trends 1950-1983, distribution by industry and size of enterprise, and number of top management expatriate workers; analyses decision making processes and locus of authority in regard to personnel management, collective bargaining and dispute settlement; makes comparisons of management practices with Japanese companies.
