Abstract:
Working paper on nonfarm employment of peasant farmers and skilled workers in Western Guatemala. Examines the rural economy and organisation of agricultural marketing. On the basis of a sample survey of 2544 households in 143 rural communitys carried out from 1976-1978, considers the agricultural production, handicrafts and other commodity production, Analyses the rural area occupational structure and income distribution.
