Abstract: Working paper on the impact of computerization (microelectronics) on employment and technology transfer in Korea R, 1973-1985 - based on an survey of 40 enterprises, finds that export promotion and labour costs are major motivations to use microelectronic equipment (computerized numerical control, computer aided design, computer aided manufacturing, etc.); studies industrial growth of electronics industry and the role of research and development.
