Abstract: Reviews recent empirical studies measuring the extent of occupational segregation by sex and the patterns of segregation across countries. The empirical studies cover nine OECD countries, as well as Cyprus, Israel, Malaysia, Peru, Puerto Rico, Singapore, USSR, Sudan and Taiwan.
