ILO Working Papers from International Labour Organization
Abstract:
The paper will first set the scene by recalling how many land-based Filipinos are abroad and how much they remit from there. It will then sift through the factors determining the future presence of Filipinos in each of the key countries or territories concerned by the crisis, and will seek to identify whether the sectors or occupations they work in - or for that matter their gender - render them especially vulnerable to economically induced or administratively enforced return migration.
