Conceptual and research frameworks for the economics of child labour and its elimination

Abstract: Contends that child labour policies, programmes and research have been much too simplistic and that a lack of attention to the economics of child labour as well as to its complexity has retarded an effective elimination of its unacceptable forms. Focusses on measurement issues, e.g. exploitation and hazardous work, and on how actors and institutions affect or are affected by child labour and its elimination.
