A perspective plan to eliminate forced labour in India

Abstract: Outlines the history of debt bondage and forced labour in India and describes constitutional and legal provisions for its prohibition. Formulates a perspective plan for the elimination of forced and bonded labour and the rehabilitation of bonded labourers. Examines the roles of employers' organizations, trade unions and NGOs in preventing forced labour.
