Abstract:
Examines strategies microfinance institutions can use to help mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS on the institution providing services in a high prevalence area, on the institution's client base and on the wider community. Discusses strategies to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and to facilitate behaviour change. Makes recommendations for further research and steps forward.
