Abstract:
Describes the development of labour market analysis as an alternative approach to manpower planning and reviews the current state of labour market data collection, analysis and dissemination in ten countries. Identifies good practice in the development and use of labour market information for human resources development and programme planning and suggests strategies for overcoming the barriers to its use.
