Klaus. Haftendorn and Carmela. Salzano

Abstract: Examines the effects of awareness-raising programmes at different levels of education on the promotion of self-employment and entrepreneurship as career options for young people entering the labour market. Provides examples of programmes in developed, developing and transition countries, highlighting partnership arrangements among government agencies, the business community and civil society. Makes recommendations for creating a favourable policy environment for enterprise creation and for integrating entrepreneurship education into the classroom.
