Globalization, history and international migration: a view from Latin America

Abstract: Explores patterns of international migration in Latin America from the first wave of globalization from 1870 to 1913, during the de-globalization period from 1914 to the late 1940s and during the second wave of globalization in the late 20th century. Explores the determinants of this migration and highlights the case of Argentina.
