Youth at risk: the role of skills development in facilitating the transition to work

Abstract: Describes the magnitude of youth unemployment around the world and considers the economic, social and individual costs. Examines the role of mainstream education and training in promoting employability and investigates good practices in some 50 examples of innovative training programmes and projects that have successfully identified and targeted disadvantaged youth.
