Abstract: Explores the rapid restructuring of the Brazilian automotive industry from the late 1990s to 2003. Highlights transformations in the composition of the vehicle assembly and components suppliers industries and analyses changes in inter-firm relations. Examines new practices in supply chain management and looks at human resource management and labour-management relations.
