Abstract:
Identifies important trends in the use of international labour standards (ILS) in equity markets and examines why investors globally are motivated to take up ILS and how they are doing so. Identifies also promising initiatives for dialogue between investors, companies, trade unions and other actors such as NGOs in hopes of contributing to ongoing efforts to improve protection of workers' rights globally.
