Abstract:
Investigates the extent to which the renovation of building stock in view of a better energy efficiency will impact on employment creation. Gives cases studies from Brazil, the Netherlands and South Africa on experiences made with residential construction. Estimates how many jobs can be created through the implementation of photovoltaic technologies, technologies for water heating and insulation, etc.
