C. D. Cohen

ILO Working Papers from International Labour Organization

Abstract: Outlines the scale of the AIDS epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa and shows how the epidemic should be seen as a structural phenomenon which affects all aspects of development in the region. Examines the interconnections between armed conflicts and other crises and the HIV epidemic and reviews the activities of the ILO Infocus Programme to determine how the epidemic affects the work of the Programme.
