Sweden: Report on Observance of Standards and Codes-Data Module; Response by the Authorities; and Detailed Assessments

International Monetary Fund

No 2001/164, IMF Staff Country Reports from International Monetary Fund

Abstract: In Sweden, the consumer price index (CPI) and the producer price index (PPI) follow internationally agreed practices and standards in terms of concepts, definitions, and use classifications. The scope of the indices follows international standards concerning both weights and the coverage of prices collected. Thus, the CPI covers all resident household consumption of goods and services classified according to the Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose (COICOP), and the PPI includes all resident market-enterprise production of goods classified according to the Combined Nomenclature (CN).
