Switzerland: 2026 Article IV Consultation-Press Release; and Staff Report
International Monetary Fund
No 2026/233, IMF Staff Country Reports from International Monetary Fund
Abstract:
Elevated geopolitical and trade uncertainty, weaker trading partner growth, and safe-haven inflows present significant challenges. Supported by high productivity and strong policy frameworks, the Swiss economy has been resilient. Growth has slowed this year, but consumption has been stable. Higher energy prices, partly offset by franc appreciation, have increased inflation modestly.
