Cambodia: 2026 Article IV Consultation-Press Release; and Staff Report
International Monetary Fund
No 2026/254, IMF Staff Country Reports from International Monetary Fund
Abstract:
Successive external and domestic shocks have tested Cambodia’s resilience. Higher energy costs, weaker tourism and remittances, and scam-related reputational damage are weighing on activity, while financial-sector vulnerabilities have become more visible. Cambodia retains important external buffers but limited domestic policy space leaves the economy more vulnerable to further shocks.
